Kidswear

My 8 years experience in the Country Road Kidswear team includes designing the boys-wear range from newborn to 12, and then managing the design team across boys and girls through newborn, baby, kids and the teen range. I have a broad and reliable knowledge of trading and designing within the Australian kids market, including accessories, footwear, knitwear, swim, sleep, newborn gifting, and original print and graphic concept.

I believe durability, affordability and sustainability are the core considerations of any kids range.

Denim

With regular trips to overseas denim factories, wash houses and mills, I have built a thorough understanding of the traditional techniques involved in denim production across both premium and commercial product.

To compliment this knowledge I have a passion and focus for the future of sustainable practices in the industry. I was responsible for Country Road’s “Low Water Wash” denim initiative, using 50% less water than the global average, utilising Jeanologia’s laser, ozone and eFlow technology.

Opportunities in the world of denim fabric production are developing fast, therefore partnering with mills and utilising their technological know how and innovation has become a non negotiable in my design process. My CR.DENIM recycled range was Country Road’s first recycled content denim capsule.

Menswear

Heading up Country Road’s casual menswear design team, I designed and developed categories including swim, shirting, denim, wovens, c&s, knitwear, and outerwear across all seasons.

Establishing a customer profile is essential to any design process. Quality, versatility and authenticity are my menswear buzzwords, fabric choice, fit and outfitting are the core considerations to build a cohesive and understandable range.

I work with mills and suppliers around the world to develop and source fabric and trims incorporating recycled content, always considering the circularity of the final product.
